Percy was sent to a summer camp called Yancy Academy. When Percy got to camp he found out that it was a school for troubled kids. At camp Percy made friends with a satyr named Grover and a girl named Annabeth. 

Percy found out that he was a demigod and that the gods were real. Percy was accused of stealing Zeus’ lightening bolt. Percy and his friends went on a quest to find the real thief and to clear Percy’s name. This book was amazing. I could not put it down. I loved the characters and the story. 

The author did a great job of making the characters seem real. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes fantasy and adventure. It can be read with peace of mind to 12-year-old children who love fantasy and adventure.

The only downside was that the book was a bit slow in parts, but overall, I thought it was a great start to the series.

I feel it is appropriate to add it to the 12 years old books to read.

The peach starts to grow and grow until it is as big as a house. James climbs inside the peach and finds that it is full of giant insects. The insects are very friendly and soon become James’ best friends. They all decide to go on an adventure in the peach. 

They float down the river on the peach and eventually end up in New York City. They go on all sorts of adventures in the city before finally getting homesick and wanting to go back to England. 

They manage to get back to England safely and everyone lives happily ever after. I really enjoyed this book. It was very imaginative and well-written. The characters were all very likable and I loved the giant peach itself. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes adventure stories.
